Money Advice Caseworker

Citizens Advice 1066

Money Advice Caseworker (Trainee or Qualified Pathway)

What it's all about

Managing debt and navigating financial pathways can be highly complex. At Citizens Advice 1066, we look for people who enjoy structured problem-solving and want to help local residents find a clear, compliant path forward.

We are open to applications from both experienced advisers and trainees. Wherever you are in your career, we provide a structured environment to help you succeed:

  • If you are qualified: You already hold a certificate in Money Advice Practice (or equivalent) and are ready to manage an active caseload independently.
  • If you are a trainee: You bring excellent transferable skills—like strong communication, numeracy, and an organised approach —and we will invest in your training to get you fully qualified.

Is This the Right Space for You?

  • Do you have a naturally analytical mind? Can you review a complex situation, map out the full financial picture, and systematically identify opportunities like income maximisation?
  • Are you a calm, professional communicator? Can you lead clear, structured conversations that put clients at ease, ensuring they feel respected while you explore their circumstances?
  • Do you value a methodical approach? Do you enjoy negotiating with third parties, drafting precise correspondence, and following clear industry guidelines?
  • Are you looking for a role with a clear purpose? Do you want to apply your thoroughness to make a tangible, positive difference to someone's financial stability?

How We Support You

We recognise that delivering specialist debt casework requires a highly structured and supportive professional environment.

  • Clear Progression: Your salary reflects your experience. Trainees start at £32,294.38 and move up to the full rate of £33,882.62 once fully qualified.
  • Structured Supervision: You will participate in regular one-to-one supervision sessions and team meetings to discuss caseload progress, share knowledge, and manage deadlines effectively.
  • Continuous Development: We fully support your ongoing learning, providing access to the latest case law publications, relevant external training sessions, and continuous industry updates.
