The Supply Register is proud to be working in close collaboration with a FE college to recruit an Advanced Technical Electrical Lecturer. About the Role
This FE college is seeking an exceptional and experienced electrical professional to deliver, lead, and shape outstanding provision across Entry Level to Level 3 programmes within a key, high-demand technical sector.
This is a senior teaching role, ideal for someone passionate about developing future-ready learners and translating real-world industry practice into high-quality, engaging teaching, learning, and assessment. In addition to core lecturing responsibilities, you will lead subject pedagogy for Electrical Installation, ensuring curriculum delivery reflects current industry standards, employer expectations, and future workforce needs.
You will play a key role in raising the quality and impact of teaching across the department by modelling best practice, supporting colleagues, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality teaching across Electrical Installation programmes from Entry Level to Level 3
- Lead subject pedagogy and support the development of teaching, learning, and assessment (TLA) across the department
- Design, develop, and review engaging curriculum materials aligned to industry standards
- Plan and deliver innovative learning sessions that drive student progress and achievement
- Lead or support programme delivery, ensuring high standards of quality and positive student outcomes
- Monitor student progress and implement interventions to support achievement and progression
- Build and maintain strong relationships with employers and stakeholders
- Support curriculum development, quality improvement, and departmental performance targets
Essential Requirements
- Level 3 qualification (or above) in Electrical Installation or a related discipline
- A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE/Cert Ed/DET) or willingness to work towards one
- Strong industry experience within Electrical Installation
- Proven ability to deliver high-quality teaching and assessment
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to translate industry practice into engaging teaching and learning
- Commitment to continuous professional development
Desirable Requirements
- Experience of programme leadership within FE or apprenticeship delivery
- Experience of supporting colleagues and sharing best practice in teaching and learning
- Knowledge of tracking systems, ILPs, and quality assurance processes
- Experience working with employers and supporting curriculum development
