Production Team Leader (FMCG / Food Manufacturing)
£30,000 – £40,000 + Flexible Shift pattern+ Permanent Position + Progression

Are you a Production Team Leader, Supervisor or similar with experience within FMCG, food manufacturing or packaging environments looking for a hands-on leadership role where you can drive production efficiency and lead a team within a busy manufacturing environment?
On offer is the opportunity to join a well-established food production business as a Production Team Leader. This role will see you take responsibility for the day-to-day running of production lines, supporting the Packhouse Manager and ensuring targets, quality standards and health and safety requirements are consistently achieved.
You will be responsible for organising labour, monitoring production performance, improving efficiencies and motivating a team of Production Operatives to achieve business and customer requirements. This is a varied role within a fast-paced environment, offering the opportunity to make a real impact on production processes and continuous improvement.
This role would suit a Production Team Leader, Line Leader or Supervisor with experience in FMCG, food manufacturing, packaging or similar environments, looking for a stable role with responsibility and progression opportunities.
The Role:
- Leading and motivating a team of Production Operatives to achieve daily production targets, while supporting training, development and performance management.
- Planning and organising labour across production lines to maximise efficiency, monitor KPIs, reduce waste and drive continuous improvement.
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, quality and health & safety procedures, including accurate production records, quality checks and downtime reporting.
- Working closely with Production Managers and Technical teams to resolve operational issues, maintain standards and support the smooth running of production. 40 hours per week on a rota basis, including weekends and bank holidays.
The Person:
- Previous experience as a Team Leader, Line Leader, Supervisor or similar within manufacturing, FMCG or packaging
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and quality standards
Basic Food Hygiene qualification (HACCP desirable) - Commutable to Howden, East Yorkshire
