Requirements:
- Experience working with groups of children (e.g., Teaching Assistant, Support Worker, Coaching, tutoring, etc..) in either mainstream environments or SEN (Special Educational Needs) settings.
- An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for a new one).
- Strong presence and confidence to manage groups of students.
- Clear, assertive, and professional communication skills.
Duties:
- Supervise secondary school classes (Ages 11-16) in the absence of the classroom teacher.
- Deliver pre-set work and lesson plans left by the subject teacher.
- Maintain a focused, safe, and positive learning environment.
- Manage classroom behaviour efficiently using the school's behaviour policy.
- Assist students with their queries and keep them on-task.
- Collect completed work at the end of the lesson and return it to the department.
- Report back on any student achievements or behavioural issues using school systems.
