Event Sales Assistant (Temporary – Weekend Work)
Location: Outskirts of Chelmsford – Car Driver with Own car is prefered for this job
Dates: Saturday 27th June & Sunday 28th June ( 2days work)
Hours:
Saturday: 9:30am – 5:00pm
Sunday: 9:30am – 5:00pm (one staff member required until 6:30pm for pack-down)
Pay: £12.71ph + Holiday, Pension and Adecco Benefits
Overview
We are currently seeking two proactive and customer-focused Event Sales Assistants to support at a busy outdoor lifestyle and craft event. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who enjoy engaging with the public and have a confident sales approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Selling promotional products at a discounted rate using a card machine (provided)
- Actively engaging with event attendees to promote offers and drive sales
- Distributing flyers and marketing materials
- Capturing customer details to support new subscription sign-ups
- Maintaining a professional and welcoming presence on the stand at all times
- Assisting with general stand duties, including set-up and pack-down (where required)
Candidate Requirements
- Confident communicator with a friendly and approachable manner
- Comfortable with face-to-face sales and engaging members of the public
- Professional appearance and attitude
- Reliable and punctual
- Previous retail, events, or promotional experience is advantageous but not essential
Dress Code
- Branded t-shirt will be provided
- Candidates must wear black tailored trousers, shorts or a skirt
- Smart footwear required
Additional Information
- 1-hour unpaid lunch break provided per day
- The role is based outdoors on a grass pitch, so candidates should be prepared for varying weather conditions
- Staff will be expected to follow event procedures, including wearing exhibitor passes and maintaining site standards
- All waste must be removed from the stand at the end of each day
