Reception Teacher (Early Years Foundation Stage) Near Benfleet, Essex Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full-time (Temporary cover)
We are seeking a passionate, creative, and dedicated Reception Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school community near Benfleet from September 2026. About the Role
This is a fantastic opportunity to inspire and nurture young learners at the very start of their educational journey. You will be responsible for delivering a high-quality Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, creating a safe, stimulating, and engaging learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities · Plan and deliver engaging, play-based learning experiences in line with the EYFS framework · Support childrens social, emotional, and academic development · Assess, monitor, and record pupil progress effectively · Build positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues · Contribute to the wider school community and ethos
The Ideal Candidate Will Have: · Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) · Experience within EYFS (Reception experience desirable, but strong ECTs are encouraged to apply) · A nurturing and patient approach to teaching young children · Strong classroom management and organisational skills · A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children · Enthusiasm, creativity, and a team-focused attitude
