Laminator / Composite Technician
Location: Lambourn
Salary: £32,000 per annum
Working Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30am – 4:30pm
Overtime: Paid at 1.5x standard hourly rate
Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Laminator / Composite Technician to join our team in Lambourn. This role focuses on the preparation, handling, and processing of glass and carbon fibre prepreg materials, ensuring precise layup and curing to deliver high-quality composite components that meet strict structural and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, cut, and handle glass and carbon fibre prepreg materials
- Perform accurate composite layup in line with technical drawings and specifications
- Operate within controlled environments to ensure material integrity
- Assist in vacuum bagging and curing processes
- Ensure finished components meet quality, dimensional, and structural requirements
- Maintain clean and organised work areas in line with health & safety standards
- Carry out basic inspection and quality checks on completed laminates
- Work collaboratively with the wider production and engineering teams
Requirements
- Proven experience in a laminating / composite technician role
- Strong knowledge of prepreg materials (carbon fibre and glass fibre)
- Experience with layup techniques, curing processes, and vacuum bagging
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality workmanship
- Good manual dexterity and practical skills
- Team player with a proactive attitude
Desirable (Not Essential)
- Experience working in aerospace, motorsport, or high-performance engineering environments
- Familiarity with autoclave processes
- Understanding of composite inspection and quality standards
