HGV Class 2 Driver – West Bromwich
People Solutions are currently recruiting for HGV Class 2 Drivers to join our client’s growing transport operation in West Bromwich and the surrounding areas.
This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced drivers who are looking for stability, great earning potential, and long-term progression.
This role would suit applicants who have worked as an LGV Class 2 Driver, Category C Driver, or Lorry Driver.
Shift Pattern:
- Monday to Friday
- Start times: 05:00 – 07:00
Pay Rate:
- £15.00 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties:
Your duties as a HGV Class 2 Driver will be:
- Safely operate and drive Category C vehicles to and from delivery locations
- Multi-drop deliveries (maximum 8 drops per day) using an electric pump truck
- Complete unloading using an electric pump truck
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects to management
- Adhere to all traffic laws and road safety regulations
- Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and site staff
Essential Skills:
The skills required to be a HGV Class 2 Driver are:
- Valid UK Category C Driving Licence
- Valid UK CPC Card and Digital Tachograph Card
- No more than six penalty points for minor offences (no IN, DR, DD, CD codes)
- Reliable, professional, and punctual
- Good communication and customer service skills
- Understanding of road safety and compliance
Desirable Experience:
- Previous commercial or multi-drop delivery experience
- Good customer interaction and service skills
Training:
- Industry related training provided and ongoing support throughout
