The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 2/3 Teacher to join the team on a part-time (0.6) basis from September 2026.
This role involves teaching a mixed-age class across Key Stage 1 and lower Key Stage 2, making it ideal for a flexible and creative practitioner who is confident delivering across both phases.
You will work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure consistency and continuity for pupils, delivering engaging lessons that support both academic progress and personal development.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality lessons for a mixed Year 2/3 class
- Create a supportive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment
- Assess, monitor and track pupil progress effectively
- Differentiate learning to meet the needs of all pupils
- Work collaboratively with the job-share partner and wider staff team
- Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and the wider community
- Contribute to the wider life of the school
The Ideal Candidate
- Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
- Has experience teaching within KS1 and/or lower KS2
- Is confident teaching mixed-age groups
- Demonstrates strong classroom management and organisational skills
- Has a good understanding of Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 expectations
- Is a strong team player, particularly in a job-share arrangement
- Has a positive, proactive and flexible approach
- Enjoys working within a close-knit rural community setting
