Join my client's dynamic Finance department as a Legal Biller, where you will play a crucial role in our newly established Billing team. This team is integral to enhancing the financial operations services across our UK offices. We are looking for a proactive individual who can manage the end-to-end billing process, ensuring compliance and supporting our partners and fee-earning teams effectively.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Take ownership of the billing process from start to finish, ensuring adherence to firm policies on WIP management and recovery.
- Use Elite 3E to produce and deliver accurate invoices promptly.
- Serve as the primary finance contact for assigned partners and fee earners, facilitating smooth billing operations and providing necessary support.
- Maintain the accuracy and integrity of client, matter, and payer master data within Elite 3E.
- Respond to billing queries and requests swiftly, aiming for excellence in client service.
- Assist with month-end and quarter-end billing processes and develop control/exception reports for billing and recovery monitoring.
- Escalate any contentious issues to the Senior Biller or Billing Manager promptly.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Elite 3E with at least two years of experience in a billing role within a professional services environment.
- Strong understanding of VAT, compliance requirements, and master data management processes.
- Demonstrated ability to manage standard billing processes and resolve routine queries.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of effectively articulating billing policies and procedures.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver results under tight deadlines, especially during peak billing periods.
