Mechanical Technicians
Location: East Yorkshire Rate: £21.57 PAYE / £29.00 Umbrella Hours: Minimum 45 hours per week Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 06:30 – 15:30 Duration: Ongoing Contract
Shorterm Group are recruiting for a number of Mechanical Modifications Technicians to join a major engineering project in East Yorkshire.
Working within a modern rolling stock production facility, you will be involved in the implementation of a suite of modifications on new London Underground vehicles.
Importantly, rolling stock experience is not essential. We are keen to hear from candidates with strong mechanical experience from a wide range of backgrounds, including:
* PSV Technicians * HGV Technicians * Bus and Coach Engineers * Automotive Technicians * Plant Fitters * Military Vehicle Technicians * Aviation Engineers * Mechanical Fitters and Assemblers
If you have solid hands-on mechanical experience and relevant qualifications, your application will be considered.
Duties will include:
* Carrying out mechanical and interior modifications * Undertaking underframe mechanical work * Recording work via internal IT systems * Carrying out inspections and checks to ensure fleet reliability * Identifying improvements and feeding back to Team Leaders * Diagnosing and rectifying defects
Requirements:
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in a Mechanical or Engineering discipline * Previous mechanical fitting, assembly, maintenance or modification experience
