Description for the SDET/ Software Engineer in Test role:- Fantastic opportunity to join a very well funded award winning Fintech based in West London as a Test Analyst. Testing is core to what my client does; the Test Analyst is the team’s test specialist (everyone can and will write tests) and you will direct where that effort goes. They have a very mature testing setup so much of the work is expanding on what they already have but they are always up for adding new types of tests. You will come up with the majority of test cases, functional and non-functional testing approaches and testing ideas as well as being able to write code to support them. This new C++ development team is looking for a Testing expert to assist them ensuring that new code is designed with testing in mind. As the 1st Test hire for this Team you will be driving the Testing Strategy.
The Technology Team always gets time for personal development/Training. They also have a healthy budget for conferences and training.
Core skills/experience for the Software Engineer in Test role:
- 6yrs+ commercial Testing experience
- Strong commercial coding experience in C++ on a Linux/Unix environment
- Automation testing experience
- Great at formulating Test cases and thinking laterally
- Happy to work in pair programming teams.
- This is definately a Technical Test role which lends itself to someone who has been a Software Engineer in Test / SDET or developer in your past.
Salary for the Software Engineer in Test role will depend on experience, but expect between £80,000 and £110,000 (possibly more) + pension, health, and a very healthy bonus.
