The ideal candidate for the role of SEN Learning Support Assistant must be able to communicate effectively with young people, be confident, committed, and calm. A desire to work with children with additional needs and to be part of a supportive team is essential.
This SEN Learning Support Assistant role in Slough may include, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Supporting children with special educational needs and helping them access learning
* Supporting pupils' behaviour for learning in the classroom
* Helping children understand and follow the teacher's instructions
* Working 1:1 with pupils or supporting small groups within the SEN department
* Keeping track of and recording pupil progress
This SEN Learning Support Assistant role will give you valuable experience and training while working with children who require additional support and care to progress.
