Thendon Resourcing LTD
Registered Manager / Home Manager – Residential Care Older People ( Medium Sized)
Oxford | £64,000 to £72,000 + Excellent Benefits
Some care homes talk about person-centred care. This one genuinely lives it.
This is an opportunity to lead a beautiful, purpose-built residential home that feels warm, welcoming and full of life from the moment you walk through the door. Bright, modern and thoughtfully designed, it offers residents an exceptional place to live and staff an environment they can be proud to work in.
This is a long-established independent charity rather than a large corporate group. That means decisions are made for the right reasons, quality always comes before profit and there is a genuine commitment to creating a home where residents can thrive and employees feel valued.
People stay here because they are looked after. The organisation offers competitive salaries, invests heavily in learning and development and has built an outstanding reputation for supporting staff to develop their skills and progress their careers. You'll be joining a stable, supportive senior leadership team that believes great care starts with great people.
As the Registered Manager, you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact. Working closely with the CEO and senior team, you'll lead a dedicated workforce, maintain high clinical and operational standards and continue the home's journey towards an Outstanding CQC rating.
Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and inspiring the team to deliver exceptional, person-centred care.
- Driving quality improvement and ensuring continued compliance with CQC standards.
- Supporting, coaching and developing managers and staff to reach their full potential.
- Overseeing occupancy, admissions and relationships with residents and their families.
- Working closely with healthcare professionals and external stakeholders to achieve the best outcomes.
- Monitoring performance, quality assurance and governance to ensure the service continues to excel.
- Playing a key role in the strategic development of the home alongside the CEO and senior leadership team.
What we’re looking for:
- It is absolutely essential that you have significant experience of managing a care home / residential home previously as a Registered Manager
- You'll have a strong background in elderly care, a passion for delivering outstanding services and the leadership skills to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- QCF Level 5 in Leadership and Management in Social Care or equivalent
- Excellent IT skills, knowledge of business support, admin systems, processes and best practise.
In return, you'll benefit from:
- Salary of £64,000 to £72,000
- The chance to lead a highly respected, independent charity with an excellent reputation.
- A stunning modern working environment with first-class facilities.
- Significant investment in your professional development and ongoing training.
- A supportive culture where staff wellbeing and career progression are genuinely prioritised.
- Pension scheme, free meals on shift, free parking (subject to availability), employee assistance programme and additional staff benefits.
