Manufacturing Machine Operator
Location: St Neots, Cambridgeshire
Salary: £27,000/year + Overtime
Shift Pattern: 12-hour rotating shifts (2 days, 2 nights, 4 on / 6 off)
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Manufacturing Machine Operator to join our production team on a temp to permanent basis. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring product quality, operating and maintaining manufacturing equipment, and supporting the smooth and efficient running of production processes. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career within a stable and growing manufacturing environment.Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor machinery to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous production
- Set up, start, shut down, and change over production lines in line with operating procedures
- Adjust machine settings to optimise performance and product quality
- Monitor product quality through regular inspection and testing
- Carry out routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting
- Follow health, safety, and operational procedures
- Collaborate with team members to meet production targets
Essential Requirements:
- Previous experience operating manufacturing machinery
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and quality standards
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures and work instructions
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer literacy for production reporting and documentation
