An exciting opportunity has become available within a within a fast-moving FMCG business with a significant international presence. The business continues to invest heavily in its online growth strategy and is seeking a commercially minded Senior Finance Analyst to join its team based in Dorset.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional looking to work closely with senior marketing, ecommerce and digital stakeholders, providing valuable financial insight that supports strategic decision-making and drives commercial performance. The successful candidate will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis and performance reporting across a high-profile area of the business.
Your Roles & Responsibilities:
While in this position your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Providing financial analysis, reporting and commercial insight to support senior marketing and digital operations teams
- Partnering with key stakeholders across Ecommerce, Marketing and Digital functions to support business performance and strategic initiatives
- Producing accurate and insightful management reporting, highlighting key trends, risks and opportunities
- Owning month-end reporting processes, including variance analysis and performance commentary
- Coordinating the preparation and presentation of periodic financial performance packs for senior leadership teams
- Supporting balance sheet reconciliation processes and ensuring robust financial controls are maintained
- Managing the forecasting and budgeting process across marketing and digital expenditure areas
- Monitoring spend against budgets and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and return on investment
- Providing financial support and challenge to marketing and ecommerce teams to support informed decision-making
- Analysing trading performance, customer activity and key commercial KPIs to identify opportunities for growth and profitability
- Supporting the evaluation and optimisation of delivery propositions, promotional activity and operational costs
- Working closely with wider finance teams to improve reporting processes, controls and data accuracy
- Identifying and implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency and reporting quality
- Supporting senior finance stakeholders with ad-hoc analysis, business cases and strategic projects
What You Will Need to Apply:
The ideal candidate will be a part-qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with previous experience within a commercial finance, management accounting, finance analyst or business partnering role.
Candidates should possess strong analytical and reporting skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and translate findings into meaningful business recommendations. Experience supporting marketing, ecommerce, digital or customer-focused functions would be highly advantageous.
Applicants should be comfortable working within a fast-paced commercial environment and managing multiple priorities while meeting strict deadlines. Strong Microsoft Excel skills are essential, alongside the ability to produce clear and engaging presentations for both finance and non-finance audiences.
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent stakeholder management skills and be confident building relationships with senior managers across multiple business functions. Strong communication and influencing abilities will be key, as will the confidence to challenge assumptions and support better decision-making.
A proactive and inquisitive mindset is essential, with a genuine interest in understanding business performance, identifying opportunities and driving continuous improvement.
What You Will Get in Return:
