As the business continues to expand, we are seeking a commercially focused Management Accountant to strengthen financial control, improve project visibility, and support operational decision-making across multiple entities and projects in the UK and Europe

Well established, privately owned and growing Engineering Group with a great culture, based near Mansfield and expanding internationally
Description
- Work with other departments on contracts in Europe and worldwide to ensure that the most efficient methods (time and financial) are utilised
- Understand European and international VAT implications of goods movements from within Europe and from and into the UK
- To assist in the VAT triangulation in Europe and ensuring the best practice is followed
- Help and support the transport department with import and export – to include Incoterms, CPC codes and other import/export issues
- Managing projects on an inter company basis, to ensure revenue recognition remains consistent
- Assist in the preparation of the quarterly management accounts for all group companies
- Deliver variance analysis and commentary against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
- Support monthly quarterly, and year-end close processes.
- Assist with statutory audit requirements and year-end reporting.
- Produce cash flow forecasting and working capital analysis.
- Maintain accurate project accounting across engineering and manufacturing contracts.
- Manage Work in Progress (WIP) reporting, ensuring appropriate recognition of costs and revenues.
- Work with project managers to review project performance, risks, accruals, and forecasts.
- ensure accurate percentage-of-completion and milestone-based accounting where applicable
Profile
You will be qualified or QBE, ideally with an appreciation of contract / project accounting, goods in / out and VAT.
