Site & Maintenance Technician
We are recruiting for a Site & Maintenance Technician to support the maintenance, repair, and upkeep of facilities and equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive individual with general building maintenance experience who enjoys a varied, practical role.
What You'll Be Doing
As a Site & Maintenance Technician, you will:
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
- Perform routine repairs and support equipment upgrades
- Open and close facilities as required
- Maintain maintenance records and reports
- Support small projects including painting, carpentry, plumbing, and general repairs
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in line with health and safety regulations
What We're Looking For
- Experience in general building maintenance
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and use your own initiative
- Knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations
- Computer literacy
- Full UK driving licence
- NVQ qualification or relevant practical experience
Desirable Skills and Qualifications
The following skills and qualifications are desirable but not essential. Candidates who possess these, or who are willing to develop them, may be at an advantage:
- Heating and plumbing experience
- HVAC knowledge
- Welding skills
- Carpentry and painting experience
- 18th Edition Electrical qualification
- Experience using CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) software
- First Aid and/or Forklift certification, or a willingness to undertake training
Shift Pattern
- Weekly rotating shifts:
- 05:15 – 14:00
- 14:00 – 22:30
- Monday – Friday
- Due to the site location, candidates must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to their own vehicle to reliably commute to and from work
