In this role, you will provide consistent, tailored support to help the student access learning, build independence, and develop confidence both academically and socially. You will work closely with teaching staff and wider professionals to ensure she receives structured, individualised support that meets her specific needs and helps prepare her for adulthood.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 support to a Year 12 student with additional needs
- Supporting access to learning across a range of subjects and activities
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive decision-making
- Adapting learning approaches to suit individual needs
- Supporting emotional regulation and maintaining a calm, structured environment
- Working collaboratively with teachers, SENCO, and other professionals
- Supporting social development and communication skills
We are looking for someone who is patient, reliable, and committed to making a genuine difference. You should be confident working on a one-to-one basis and able to build a positive, trusting relationship with a young person. Experience in SEN or specialist education is desirable but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be calm, resilient, and consistent in their approach
- Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Be willing to learn and develop within a specialist setting
- Be passionate about supporting young people with additional needs

This is a highly rewarding opportunity to have a direct and meaningful impact on a young person's life within a supportive and experienced environment.
