Year 6 Teacher – Full Time (Academic Year 2026/27)
Location: Burscough, Lancashire
Start Date: September 2026
Contract: Full-time, fixed term for the academic year
Pay: £168 – £215 per day (dependent on experience)
About the Role
We are recruiting on behalf of a welcoming and supportive primary school in the Burscough area seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 6 Teacher to join their team for the full 2026–2027 academic year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate teacher who thrives on preparing pupils for their transition to secondary school, delivering engaging lessons, and achieving strong outcomes at the end of Key Stage 2.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality, engaging lessons in line with the KS2 curriculum
- Prepare pupils for SATs and support them to reach their full potential
- Assess, monitor, and report on pupil progress
- Create a positive, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (Year 6 experience desirable)
- Strong knowledge of the KS2 curriculum and SATs expectations
- Excellent classroom management skills
- A passion for motivating and inspiring young learners
- A proactive and positive approach to teaching
