Teaching Assistant
Slough, Berkshire
Full-Time or Part-Time | September 2026 Start | Academic Year Contract
£95-£105 per day PAYE (depending on experience)
A well-established 3-form entry primary school in Slough is seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
The school is open to considering both full-time and part-time candidates and can offer opportunities across EYFS, KS1, or KS2 depending on experience. The role may involve general classroom support or supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 or small-group basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for a long-term position within a supportive and well-resourced primary school.

The Role
Depending on experience, the successful candidate may:
- Provide general classroom support within EYFS, KS1, or KS2
- Support individual pupils or small groups with learning activities
- Deliver targeted interventions in literacy and mathematics
- Support pupils with Special Educational Needs
- Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources
- Promote positive behaviour and pupil engagement
- Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO where appropriate
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a UK primary school
- Experience supporting children in a classroom environment
- SEN experience is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- A proactive and flexible approach
- Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
The school is keen to hear from candidates with experience as a Teaching Assistant, Learning Support Assistant, SEN Teaching Assistant, Classroom Assistant, or Intervention TA.
