Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English to work on a full-time, long-term basis at a thriving secondary academy in Doncaster, starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic English teacher to join a supportive and ambitious school, where you will play a key role in inspiring students and helping them achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver high-quality English Language and Literature lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Create engaging learning experiences that challenge and motivate students.
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement.
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour, attendance, and academic performance.
- Contribute to the wider life of the English department and academy community.
- Attend departmental meetings, parents' evenings, and other school events as required.
- Promote safeguarding and student welfare at all times.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Degree in English or a related subject.
- Recent experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
- Strong subject knowledge and understanding of the current English curriculum.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to raising attainment and supporting student success.
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind Recruitment.
- Satisfactory professional references covering the last two years.
