An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employed Financial Adviser to join a highly successful and growing wealth management practice based in Henley-on-Thames.
Founded in 2017, the business has grown significantly, now managing over £130m in client assets and continuing to expand through both new client acquisition and long-standing relationships. With a new office opening planned and further growth ambitions in place, this is a fantastic time to join the firm in a key advisory role.
This position offers the rare opportunity to inherit a substantial client bank from day one, alongside ongoing inbound enquiries generated through the firm’s established lead generation channels.
The Opportunity
You will step into a fully supported advisory role, taking ownership of an established portfolio of approximately 150–200 clients. This provides an immediate platform to focus on delivering high-quality holistic financial planning advice, while continuing to grow revenue through new business opportunities.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Managing an assigned client bank of 150–200 clients as the primary adviser
• Conducting regular annual reviews and ongoing financial planning meetings
• Delivering holistic advice across investments, pensions, protection and estate planning
• Identifying planning opportunities within existing client relationships
• Converting inbound enquiries and firm-generated leads into new business
• Preparing or overseeing suitability reports and maintaining accurate client records
• Ensuring all advice meets FCA regulatory and compliance standards
• Working closely with paraplanning and administration teams to deliver a seamless client experience
• Supporting the continued growth and development of the wider business
Once established, you will typically conduct around 10–15 client meetings per week, supported by a strong operational and technical infrastructure.
Requirements
• Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning (essential)
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Financial Adviser post-qualification
• Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection
• Confident managing an existing client bank
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Commercial mindset with the ability to identify new opportunities
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy client diary
• Chartered status (or working towards) desirable
