About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join a supportive and dynamic team in Great Bentley.
In this role, you will complement the work of teachers by taking responsibility for agreed learning activities under an established system of supervision. This may include planning, preparing and delivering lessons to individuals, small groups, or occasionally whole classes, as well as assessing and monitoring pupil progress.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess pupils’ educational and emotional needs, supporting their learning and development
- Plan, prepare and deliver learning activities in line with curriculum expectations
- Monitor, assess, record and report on pupil progress and achievement
- Deliver structured learning and adapt lesson plans to meet individual needs
- Encourage pupils to engage, interact and work collaboratively
- Mark pupils’ work and maintain accurate records
- Represent teaching assistants at meetings where required
- Support wider classroom and school activities

- Work within established procedures while using initiative to respond to day-to-day challenges
- Manage situations independently where appropriate, seeking guidance when needed
- Contribute positively to the wider school environment and team culture
