Legal Cashier – Full Time, Office Based
Ilford, Essex
Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 per annum (depending on experience)
A leading Legal 500 law firm based in Ilford is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Legal Cashier to join its busy accounts team on a full-time, office-based basis.
This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual with solid legal accounts experience to join a well-established and highly regarded firm.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing day-to-day legal cashiering duties in compliance with the Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Processing client and office account transactions
- Handling bank reconciliations
- Processing CHAPS, BACS and online payments
- Posting and reconciling bills, invoices and receipts
- Assisting with month-end and year-end accounting procedures
- Maintaining accurate financial records and ledgers
- Liaising with fee earners and support staff regarding account queries
- Ensuring compliance with internal procedures and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Previous experience working as a Legal Cashier within a law firm is essential
- Strong working knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and IT skills
- Experience using legal accounts software is advantageous
