Role: Junior Financial Planner (Desk-Based)
Salary: Negotiable + Bonus

A well-established, modern, independent financial planning firm is looking to add a Financial Planner to its growing team. The Role
Due to the redistribution of clients within the business, the firm is looking to appoint a Financial Planner to take over an existing client bank. This portfolio includes clients with a wide range of financial planning needs across pensions, investments, tax, and protection.
The role offers strong training and development opportunities. Client meetings are primarily conducted virtually, with some in-person meetings required for clients visiting the office.
This position would suit an individual who holds the Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning, has experience within an IFA or financial planning firm, and is now looking to transition into an advice-focused role. Strong communication skills and a client-first mindset are essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide holistic financial planning and regulated advice across a wide range of case types
- Conduct detailed fact-finding, cashflow modelling, and suitability assessments
- Create and deliver tailored financial plans aligned to clients’ objectives and risk profiles
- Build and maintain long-term client relationships through regular reviews and proactive communication
- Work closely with paraplanners to produce accurate research and suitability reports
Candidate Profile
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
- Previous experience within a financial planning or IFA firm
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A genuine interest in developing long-term client relationships
- Collaborative, ethical, and client-focused approach
