Primary Teacher – Part-Time (2 Days per Week)
Maternity Cover | Immediate Start or September 2026 | Until July 2027
Tradewind Recruitment are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teacher to join a welcoming and supportive primary school in a Year 4 class at a primary school in Barnsley on a part-time basis.
This is a maternity cover position, working Thursdays and Fridays each week, with flexibility for the successful candidate to start either immediately or from September 2026. The role will continue until July 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher seeking a strong work-life balance, as the role focuses solely on the delivery and marking of lessons. All planning will be completed by the class teacher, allowing you to concentrate on providing high-quality teaching and learning experiences for the pupils.
The Role:
- Teaching a Year 4 class every Thursday and Friday
- Delivering pre-planned lessons across the curriculum
- Marking pupils' work and providing feedback in line with school policy
- Maintaining positive behaviour and creating an engaging learning environment
- Working collaboratively with the class teacher and wider school team
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching within Key Stage 2
- Be confident delivering engaging and inclusive lessons
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
- Be reliable, flexible and committed to supporting pupils' progress
