Our International Wealth and Premier Banking (IWPB) business supports millions of individuals, families, business owners, investors and entrepreneurs worldwide. We provide products and services that include current accounts, credit cards, personal loans and mortgages, as well as savings, investments, insurance and wealth management.
We are looking for a Digital Product Owner (Mobile) to support the design and scaled roll-out of the Mobile channel for the integrated KYC renewal journey, enabling customers to complete KYC renewals end-to-end via mobile. The role holder will be accountable for shaping the product vision for this journey, own the backlog, inform and validate the design, and lead delivery and rollout across markets – balancing customer experience, compliance, operational readiness, and measurable outcomes.
Key accountabilities include:
- Own the Mobile KYC renewals product backlog and delivery outcomes
- Define and communicate the product vision, scope and roadmap for the mobile KYC renewals journey (including in-app messaging, tasking, document capture, data capture, status tracking, and hand-offs where required).
- Partner with Technology and Transformation leads to plan delivery, manage dependencies, remove blockers, and escalate risks/issues at pace.
- Lead experience design for a compliant, customer-friendly mobile journey
- Work closely with UX/UI, content design and research to create intuitive mobile-first flows that reduce drop-off and customer effort while meeting regulatory and risk requirements.
- Validate designs through testing (e.g., prototypes, usability testing, A/B where appropriate) and iterate based on evidence.
- Drive integrated delivery across Risk/Compliance/Financial Crime and Operations
- Act as the key product interface between Digital, Financial Crime Compliance, Risk, Legal, Operations and Markets to ensure the journey is implementable and controlled.
- Support governance and approvals by providing clear artefacts, rationale and impact assessments aligned to change management expectations.
- Deliver scaled roll-out across markets with measurable performance
- Plan and execute pilots and phased rollouts, including market readiness, comms, training, operational support and post-launch monitoring.
- Define and track OKRs/KPIs
- Use data and customer feedback to continuously improve the journey and prioritise enhancements.
Key skills and qualifications include:
- Proven Product Owner / Product Manager experience delivering mobile-first digital journeys in a complex, regulated environment, ideally at scale across multiple markets.
- Strong knowledge of CDD/KYC (including KYC renewal concepts, customer outreach/tasking, evidence collection, and the practical implications of regulatory and control requirements on digital journeys).
- Deep mobile product and design experience, including mobile UX patterns, conversion optimisation, and delivery of secure, reliable in-app journeys
- Demonstrable experience working in a cross-functional matrix with global teams and markets, influencing stakeholders without direct authority.
- Strong experience across the product lifecycle: discovery, requirements definition, backlog management, delivery, launch, and post-launch performance management.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to navigate differing viewpoints and drive decisions with clarity and pace.
