Recruit UK is delighted to be supporting a well-established and growing business in the search for an experienced Finance Manager to take ownership of the company's finance function.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive finance professional who enjoys working in a varied, hands-on role within a supportive business environment.
The Role
As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day financial operations of the business, ensuring accurate financial records and supporting the wider business with key financial information.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the purchase ledger, including posting invoices, matching purchase orders, resolving supplier queries, processing payment runs and reconciling supplier statements.
- Oversee the sales ledger, including processing invoices, allocating receipts and managing credit control.
- Complete regular bank reconciliations.
- Process the monthly payroll and maintain employee records.
- Analyse and post company credit card expenses.
- Support with ad hoc finance duties and projects, including cash flow forecasting.
- Monitor MOT expiry dates and arrange vehicle and plant taxation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in a Finance Manager, Accounts Manager or similar finance position.
- A strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50 and Sage Payroll.
- Good Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
- AAT qualification (part or fully qualified) or qualified by experience.

- Permanent, full-time position.
- Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 5:00pm.
- Office-based role in Bristol (BS11).
- 27 days' annual leave plus bank holidays.
