Credit Representative – Major Business
- Location: Lower Kingswood (KT20) – parking on site and shuttle buses run from Redhill, Reigate and Sutton train stations.
- Job Type: Temporary until the end of December 2026
- Hours: 35 per week- 100% office based
- Hourly rate: £15.38- £17.03 per hour PAYE or £19.50- £21.63 per hour via an umbrella company.
We are seeking a Credit Representative to join our dynamic Major Business Credit team. Reporting to the Credit Team Manager, this role is essential for managing and collecting debt across a defined portfolio of major business accounts and Public sector customers. This position demands strong communication skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a methodical approach to credit control.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Manage and collect debt on a defined portfolio of major business accounts.
- Administer collection procedures in line with departmental policies.
- Review and prioritise ledger debt daily.
- Accurately and timely complete departmental processes and controls, including cashflow, workflows, month-end analysis, and no-remit reporting.
- Collect manual Direct Debits when due and address any rejected payments immediately.
- Build, maintain, and develop strong customer relationships.
- Identify accounts for escalation and submit well-reasoned proposals to the Team Manager.
- Liaise with internal departments to efficiently resolve issues and support timely customer payments.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a credit control or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of credit control procedures.
- Highly organised with a logical, methodical approach to problem-solving.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of remaining calm and professional under pressure.
- Confident in building relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Proactive, target-driven, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
