Reed Business Support are recruiting for a Cover / Office Manager for a school based in Caerphilly. This role is crucial for managing the day-to-day provision of staffing cover and ensuring continuity of learning through efficient deployment of teaching and support staff.
What you'll be doing:
- Coordinate and arrange staff cover, liaising with approved supply agencies as required.
- Manage daily cover using SIMS Cover Manager, ensuring all lessons and duties are effectively staffed in line with school procedures.
- Approve electronic timesheets and process internal staff leave requests, ensuring appropriate cover arrangements are in place.
- Track and monitor cover-related expenditure, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all staff in SIMS and HR systems.
- Handle all administration related to employee life-cycle processes
What you'll need:
- Proven experience in cover management within a school environment.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Excellent organisational and planning skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proficient in IT systems such as SIMS, ITrent, and Microsoft Office.
