Area Director – North West (West Midlands/Black Country)

We are seeking an exceptional Area Director to lead a portfolio of veterinary practices across the Westmidlands/Black country region, shaping performance, culture and strategic direction across multiple brands.
This home-based role involves extensive travel and close engagement with our clinical and operational teams, giving you the opportunity to influence both day-to-day delivery and long-term regional success.
How You'll Make a Difference
As Area Director, you will take a central leadership role in driving operational excellence, commercial performance and high-quality clinical outcomes.
You will work closely with Practice Directors, clinical leaders and operational teams across both single-site and multi-site practices, ensuring each location is supported, aligned and performing at its best.
Partnering with the Regional Director and HR Business Partner, you will deliver a joined-up approach to people leadership, talent development and organisational culture, embedding a high-performance mindset across a geographically diverse area of more than 20 practices.

This is a highly visible role that requires strong leadership, emotional intelligence and the ability to inspire teams through change, growth and challenge. Candidates with experience as a Veterinary Surgeon or Veterinary Nurse, along with management experience, would be particularly well suited.
We are seeking an influential, people-focused leader with a background in professional services ideally within healthcare or a regulated environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commercial awareness, strategic thinking and the ability to build trusted relationships at all levels.
