Sharp Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a well-established engineering and infrastructure-related business in Doncaster as they look to appoint a Management Accountant to strengthen their finance function.

This is an excellent opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional looking to join a growing organisation where they can make a genuine impact. Working closely with both finance and operational teams, you'll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, supporting business performance, and providing meaningful insight to aid decision-making.

The Role

• Reporting into senior finance leadership, your responsibilities will include:
• Production of monthly management accounts
• Preparing accruals, prepayments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
• Delivering variance analysis and commentary on business performance
• Supporting budgeting and forecasting activities
• Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting requirements
• Business partnering with operational and project stakeholders
• Producing KPI reports and commercial analysis
• Supporting cash flow reporting and financial controls
• Identifying opportunities to improve finance processes and reporting
• Providing financial insight to support strategic business decisions

About You

• We are keen to hear from candidates who possess:
• Previous experience producing management accounts
• Strong month-end accounting experience
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
• Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems
• The ability to build effective relationships across the business
• A proactive approach and a desire to add value beyond the numbers

• ACCA or CIMA part-qualified or qualified accountants
• AAT qualified candidates with strong relevant experience
