Senior Town Planner

A well-established and respected independent planning consultancy is seeking a Senior Town Planner to join its growing team in the North West. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced planner to take on a key role within a supportive, professional consultancy known for delivering high-quality planning advice.
The Opportunity
You'll be involved in a broad mix of projects across the region, with the chance to manage work from early-stage strategy through to determination and delivery. The role offers genuine autonomy, strong client exposure, and clear progression within a stable and growing business.
Key Responsibilities

Managing planning applications, appeals, and pre-application submissions

Providing strategic planning advice across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments

Preparing high-quality planning statements and supporting documents

Liaising with local planning authorities, consultees and stakeholders

Managing projects and timelines effectively

Mentoring and supporting junior members of the team

Contributing to client relationships and repeat business
About You
-
MRTPI qualified (or close to chartership with relevant experience)

Background in UK planning consultancy or local authority

Strong understanding of the UK planning system

Confident communicator with good report-writing skills

Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing multiple projects
