Communities for Work Plus (CfW+) supports participants who are experiencing poverty, to work towards a more sustainable employment position through specialist support and mentoring available for participants who are not eligible for alternative funding.
This role will predominantly focus on delivery within the Llynfi Valley area. You will be responsible for building and maintaining strong, effective relationships with a wide range of employers, including micro businesses, sole traders, SMEs, social enterprises, charities and other organisations. The aim is to create and secure meaningful opportunities for participants, including work experience placements, sector-specific work tasters, and employment opportunities, including new job roles.
Flexibility will be essential, as engagement activities may take place during evenings and weekends. You should have proven experience of working in partnership settings and within communities facing significant challenges. A strong understanding of the barriers to employment faced by individuals experiencing economic hardship is required, along with an appreciation of the positive impact that sustainable employment can provide.
