The Role
Due to continued expansion, they are now looking for an Event Business Development Manager to join their growing commercial team. This is a pivotal role focused on generating new business opportunities, developing strategic relationships and securing high-value projects across a range of industry sectors.
The successful Event Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing the full sales cycle, from initial prospecting and client engagement through to proposal development, negotiation and contract award.
This is a broad role where the Event Business Development Manager will utilise their commercial, relationship-building and consultative sales skills, including:
– Identifying and targeting prospective clients across key sectors
– Generating and qualifying new business opportunities
– Building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline
– Conducting client discovery meetings and needs analysis
– Developing bespoke proposals and presentations
– Supporting and leading new business pitches
– Collaborating with internal creative, production and delivery teams
– Building relationships with senior marketing and procurement stakeholders
– Negotiating commercial agreements
– Maintaining accurate CRM records and pipeline reporting
– Representing the agency at industry events and networking opportunities
– Contributing to sales strategy and market growth initiatives
– Achieving and exceeding revenue and profitability targets
The Candidate
Candidates should ideally be working in a similar role as an Event Business Development Manager within an experiential marketing agency, events agency, exhibition business, creative agency or related environment.
You will have a proven track record of generating new business revenue, building strong client relationships and successfully converting opportunities into long-term partnerships.
This is a fast-paced, ambitious organisation where you will work with a wide range of clients and stakeholders, therefore excellent communication, presentation and commercial skills are essential.
