English Teacher – Enfield
An exciting long-term opportunity has arisen at a Secondary SEMH School in Enfield. We are seeking a resilient, passionate, and adaptable teacher to deliver KS3 and KS4 English, while supporting students with a range of social, emotional, and behavioural needs.
The Role
- Plan and deliver engaging and differentiated English lessons for KS3 & KS4 students
- Adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of students with SEMH needs and associated behavioural challenges
- Create a positive, nurturing, and structured learning environment
- Support students in developing both academic achievement and personal growth
- Work closely with a dedicated multidisciplinary team, including support staff and senior leaders
- Contribute to wider curriculum delivery and school life where required
Candidate Profile
- QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Experience teaching English at secondary level (KS3 & KS4)
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students
- Flexible, proactive, and confident in adapting teaching approaches to meet individual needs
- Previous experience working within SEMH, alternative provision, PRU, or SEN settings is desirable but not essential
- A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people and helping them achieve their potential
