We're partnering with a successful and expanding accountancy practice that is looking to add a talented Bookkeeper to their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, client interaction, and working within a supportive practice environment. Working closely with a diverse portfolio of clients, you'll take ownership of a wide range of bookkeeping and practice support duties.
The role:

Monthly and quarterly bookkeeping for clients across multiple industries

Maintaining accurate financial records: purchase/sales ledgers, bank reconciliations, journals

Preparing and submitting a range of VAT returns including Standard VAT, Partial exemption, Margin scheme, Flat rate scheme.

Liaising directly with clients to gather information and resolve queries

Providing occasional assistance with Trust administration

Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines

Collaborating with the wider team and contributing to a positive working culture
Requirements:
-
Bookkeeping experience (within accountancy practice)

Strong VAT knowledge, including partial exemption and margin schemes

Experience using accountancy software
-
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
-
Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines
-
Confident communication skills and a professional approach
-
Experience with Trust administration (advantageous but not essential)
