Location: Inverness
Salary: £65,000 – £75,000 + £5,750 Car Allowance
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week

Overview:

First Military Recruitment is proudly working in partnership with a fantastic national construction business who are looking to recruit a Mechanical and Electrical Manager on a permanent basis due to growth based at their Inverness depot.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review competencies of all personnel within the department to ensure that all personnel have suitable training, qualifications & behaviours to ensure suitability for the role.
  • Accountable for the monitoring of productivity on all works.
  • Accountable for the creation and management of a high performing workforce within the discipline.
  • Accountable for the timely delivery of key HR activities within the team including annual salary and bonus reviews, appraisals, talent and succession planning etc
  • Support in the creation and design of development programmes and employee upskilling activities
  • Ensure that own and direct reports’ mandatory e-learning modules and policy updates have been completed as and when required.
  • Manage any recruitment requirements
  • Use the HR system to manage employee records and absences.
  • Have an in depth understanding of all information security projects, policies and procedures.
  • Oversees and ensures that direct reports receive governance training on all information security policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that any update in information security policies and procedures are communicated to direct reports.
  • Understand the procedure for effective reporting and management of security incidents and breaches
  • Day to day line management of workforce within the project

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong technical understanding of mechanical and/or electrical systems within large-scale environments
  • Background working on complex, multi-discipline projects with high safety and compliance standards
  • Knowledge of UK regulations and engineering standards relevant to construction and energy sectors
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Building Services
