Family Solicitor (2+ PQE)

A well-established and highly regarded South Wales law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Family Solicitor to join its growing Family Department based in Merthyr Tydfil.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected regional practice with a strong reputation for client care, quality work, and long-term staff development. The firm offers a supportive and collaborative environment, handling a broad range of private family matters alongside some legally aided work.
The Role
You will manage your own caseload of family law matters from instruction through to conclusion, including:

Divorce and separation

Financial remedy proceedings

Child arrangements and contact disputes
-
Cohabitation and relationship breakdown matters

Domestic abuse and injunction applications

Legally aided family work (where applicable)
The successful candidate will work closely with experienced colleagues while enjoying a high degree of autonomy and client contact.
Candidate Requirements

Qualified Solicitor with at least 2 years' PQE in Family Law

Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of family matters

Experience managing files independently

Excellent client care and communication skills

Ability to work effectively in a busy, team-focused environment

Previous legal aid experience would be advantageous but is not essential
