Introduction
Acorn by Synergie is recruiting Production Operatives on behalf of Howmet Aerospace, a global leader in engineered metal products for the aerospace, defence, and transportation industries. This is an excellent opportunity to join a world-class manufacturer offering strong development prospects and long-term stability within a supportive Exeter-based team.
Key Duties
- Work within production departments, including Alloy and Foundry
- Handle and pour molten alloy as part of casting processes.
- Operate high-pressure washing equipment and production machinery.
- Load furnaces and manage casting components in line with production schedules.
- Follow strict quality control procedures and safety standards at all times.
- Work in a physically active, industrial environment as part of a team.
- Maintain high levels of housekeeping and compliance with PPE requirements.
Requirements
- Previous manufacturing or industrial experience is preferred but not essential.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
- Willingness to work in a physically demanding role and comfortable working in a hot environment.
- Flexible approach to working a rotating shift pattern (6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm, 10pm-6am).
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
