Here at Smart Education we are looking to add a passionate and service focused secondary recruitment consultant to our schools support team.
Smart Education are a well-established Education Recruitment agency with an excellent reputation in the market. Our service is centred around approachability, reliability with a passionate and caring approach to our work. We take our roles and responsibilities to our candidates and clients very seriously however we don’t take ourselves too seriously!
As a secondary recruitment consultant you will be responsible for leading the support of secondary schools across Birmingham and the Black Country as well as sourcing new education professionals and continuing the support of current education staff on our books. The desk has previously been very successful and in the hands of the right person has the potential to grow substantially.

Our headquarters are located wonderfully between Birmingham and the black country meaning you avoid the traffic into Birmingham.
- You will be working responsible for new business development as well as account management of current business. Meeting face to face with clients and candidates and building strong sustainable relationships.
- You will need strong organisational skills and a focussed work ethic, able to work on your own initiative with on the job problem solving and self-sufficient structure.
- Using social media and digital channels for candidate and client attraction as well as searching job boards and reviewing job applications to fins the highest calibre of candidates
- Organising candidate interviews and client meetings and matching candidate’s requirements and clients’ requirements accurately and efficiently.
- You must have a strong work ethic and the ambition and drive to work towards targets and achieve goals to be rewarded with commission and promotions. You will ideally come from a customer service or sales background; prior recruitment experience would be an advantage.
