About the role
Our client is looking for an ambitious newcomer who wants to build a career in freight and logistics sales. No prior experience is required, and full training will be provided from day one.
You'll join a commercial team where you'll gradually take ownership of customer relationships and sales activity, starting with the fundamentals and developing from there.
What you'll be doing
- Learning the essentials of the freight and logistics industry, including key terminology
- Getting to grips with internal operating and quoting systems
- Communicating with customers, suppliers, and overseas agents
- Preparing quotations and following up on sales opportunities
- Building customer relationships and developing your commercial instincts
- Supporting the wider team with day-to-day admin and operational tasks
What they're looking for
This suits a school or college leaver who's personable, driven, and ready to work. You'll need to be:
- Confident using Outlook and writing professional emails
- A competent typist with strong attention to detail
- Familiar with Excel basics and comfortable researching online
- An excellent communicator, particularly on the phone
- Organised, punctual, and able to manage multiple priorities
- Genuinely motivated to grow a long-term career in freight
