Registration Officer
Location: Birmingham – Hybrid
Contract: 1 x Permanent, 1 x Fixed-term contract for 12 months (maternity cover)
Hours: Full-time
Salary: £25,177 – £29,620 pa
If you offer experience of maintaining records and databases, this is an exciting opportunity to play a crucial role in ensuring the ongoing maintenance of the GDC’s dental register.
This is your chance to build on your own skills and experience and make a worthwhile contribution to our work.
Your key responsibilities will include:
– Registering qualified dentists and dental care professionals by assessing all UK-qualified applications, ensuring all evidence provided meets the criteria for registration.
– Restoring dental professionals to the register.
– Providing advice, assistance and guidance to newly graduated and returning dentists and dental care professionals, on the requirements for registration and restoration with the GDC.
– Processing and reconciling payments for applicants for registration and restoration.
About you:
You will need to have:
– Knowledge of database and record maintenance. – Ability to use the full suite of Microsoft Office applications. – Experience of working to tight deadlines under pressure; requiring the ability to multitask and plan and organise a varied and diverse workload and prioritise accordingly. – Good communication skills, both written and verbal. – Ability to work well in a team and individually, with a proactive and reliable approach to work.
