React Developer (React | TypeScript) | Leeds City Centre, 4 days p/week in office | £50,000
I'm currently partnered with a global technology business who are looking for a React Developer to join their growing product development team based in Leeds City Centre.
This is an exciting opportunity for a developer who enjoys building modern, responsive web applications and wants to further develop their skills in a collaborative, supportive environment working alongside experienced engineers and UX designers.
The role:
- Develop and maintain web applications using React and TypeScript, contributing to both new features and ongoing improvements
- Build reusable, maintainable, and well-tested front-end components
- Collaborate closely with UX designers to transform designs into polished, user-friendly interfaces
- Integrate front-end applications with APIs and backend services
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to maintaining high development standards
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues
- Contribute to improving performance, usability, and accessibility across applications
- Work closely with the wider development team to deliver features throughout the software development lifecycle
About you:
- Commercial experience developing applications using React and TypeScript
- Experience working with REST APIs
- Strong understanding of component-based architecture
- Experience using Git
- Knowledge of responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
- Experience with state management tools (e.g. Redux, React Query) is beneficial
- Familiarity with testing tools such as Jest, Vitest, or React Testing Library is a plus
- A collaborative mindset with strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
