Assistant Librarian/ Resource Assistant – Term Time Only | Up to £20.60 per hour (PAYE)

We’re recruiting an Assistant Librarian to join a thriving school environment – a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on student learning and engagement.
Working alongside the School Librarian, you’ll play a vital role in delivering an efficient, welcoming and inspiring library service to both students and staff.
You will:
- Manage issuing and returning of library stock
- Catalogue and prepare new resources for use
- Support students in accessing online and physical materials
- Run the overdue system and maintain library organisation
- Promote reading through engaging library activities
- Supervise students and support a positive library environment
- Assist with the library management system and stock control
You’ll also step in to cover the Librarian when required, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
This is the perfect role for someone who is:
Highly organised with strong attention to detail
Passionate about education, literacy, and student support
Confident working independently and as part of a team
Skilled in engaging young people and managing behaviour positively
What’s on offer:
- £18.00 – £20.00per hour (PAYE)
- Term-time only role
- Multisite
- Monday–Friday (09:00–17:00 or 09:30–17:30)
