Protocol Education supports secondary schools across Weston-super-Mare, North Somerset and the surrounding areas, including Worle, Clevedon, Nailsea, Portishead, Burnham-on-Sea, Highbridge, Winscombe and Cheddar.
We're looking for confident and reliable Cover Supervisors and Unqualified Teachers to support local secondary schools with both planned and unexpected staff absences. No teaching qualification is required. If you've got confidence, strong communication skills and enjoy working with young people, we'll provide the training to help you get started.

As we support schools across a wide area, a full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for this role.
What you'll be doing
As a Cover Supervisor, you'll step into secondary school classrooms when teachers are absent and help keep learning on track. You'll:
- Deliver pre-planned lesson materials
- Support students to stay focused and engaged
- Maintain a calm and positive learning environment
- Follow school behaviour policies and routines
- Build positive relationships with young people
- Gain valuable experience across a range of school settings
Working Pattern
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available

What do we need to clear you?
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (essential)
Valid passport
Two proofs of address (e.g. driving licence, utility bill, council tax statement)
CV covering the last 10 years, with any gaps explained
References covering the last 2 years
Overseas Police Check (if you've lived abroad for 3 months or more during the last 5 years)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
