Cedar Recruitment are pleased to be working with a leading organisation who help to support education institutions worldwide, with the Recruitment of a Finance Administrator .

The organisation are looking for a proactive, detail oriented individual to provide comprehensive financial and accounts administration.

The core hours for the role are Monday-Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm and will require on office attendance in London whilst going through training with the view to work remote thereafter.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate financial record for schools, trust, and college accounts.
  • Process purchase orders, invoices, cheques, BACS payments, and card payments.
  • Ensure the accounts are correctly updated upon renewal or non-renewal.
  • Liaise with school finance departments and other external stakeholders regarding purchase orders, invoices, and outstanding payments.
  • Monitor the finance email inbox, responding to queries and escalating issues to management where appropriate.
  • Work flexibly with the enquiries team to provide administrative support for finance-related queries.
  • Investigate payment and account discrepancies and escalating complex cases when necessary.
  • Provide annual Statements of Account to schools, trusts, and colleges upon request.
  • Complete supplier registration forms for schools, councils, trusts, and colleges.
  • Adhere to GDPR and Data Protection regulations, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Essential Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working within education or a membership organisation
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Have experience of working remotely
  • Be highly detail oriented
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Be both professional and approachable
  • Resilience to work under pressure
  • Experience using accounting software i.e. Sage
