Working 07:00 – 16:30 Monday to Thursday you will be the administrative backbone of the technical team, directly supporting our Design and Production Engineers.
You will ensure the smooth flow of accurate technical data, handling everything from managing complex Bills of Materials (BOMs) to keeping our engineering drawings, specifications, and design documentation highly organised.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engineering Document Control: Print, format, distribute, and archive technical drawings, schematics, and product specification sheets for the design team and the assembly floor
- Bill of Materials (BOM) Management: Compile, input, and update Bills of Materials (lists of raw materials, parts, and sub-assemblies needed to build our gauges) within our inventory or ERP system
- Design & Engineering Support: Provide daily administrative support to Design Engineers to streamline the "Design Process" phase of new customer projects
- Engineering Change Orders (ECO): Track, record, and log changes made to component designs or materials, ensuring all internal teams are working from the absolute latest revisions
- Database Maintenance: Keep the engineering team's digital archives, folders, and technical logs meticulously clean, accurate, and up to date.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong Administrative Experience: Proven experience in an administrative support or data entry role, within a manufacturing, engineering, or technical environment.
- BOM Familiarity: Experience working with, updating, or managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) is highly advantageous.
- High Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for spotting discrepancies in part numbers, dimensions, or technical specifications.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and experience navigating ERP, MRP, or document control software.
