We are partnering with a forward-thinking law firm to recruit an experienced Litigation & Criminal Solicitor to join their dedicated team. This role focuses on high-volume property civil litigation and a range of criminal defence matters, offering excellent exposure to diverse casework and opportunities to grow your practice within a supportive environment.

Core Responsibilities

  • Handle a varied caseload of property related civil litigation matters, including landlord-tenant disputes, boundary disputes, leasehold enfranchisement, and property repossessions.
  • Manage criminal defence cases such as bail applications, speeding offences, DUI, and PI claims arising from criminal incidents.
  • Provide clear, strategic legal advice to clients, guiding them through the litigation/criminal process from initial consultation to resolution.
  • Draft and review legal documents (statements of claim, defences, witness statements, bail applications) with precision and attention to detail.
  • Represent clients in court hearings, tribunals, and negotiations, advocating effectively to achieve favorable outcomes.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring regular communication and high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to manage cases efficiently and comply with regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements

  • UK Qualified Solicitor with a valid practicing certificate.
  • Minimum 3+ years of post-qualification experience in property civil litigation and criminal defence (specific experience in bail, speeding, and PI is essential).
  • Strong court advocacy skills and proven experience representing clients in civil and criminal proceedings.
  • Excellent written and spoken English and Mandarin, with the ability to draft legal documents and communicate effectively in both languages.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal matters clearly to clients.
  • Client-focused mindset, with a commitment to delivering high-quality legal services.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently, meet deadlines, and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.
